Class Description

 All Level 1 classes are suitable for complete beginners to Pilates.  Complete Beginners are not permitted to enrol onto a level 2 or 3 class for your own safety.  If you complete a minimum of 8 weeks within any Level 1 class you may then feel ready to progress onto a level 2 class.

Mat Pilates
Beginners Level

This class is ideal for anyone who has not done Pilates before. During this class we will teach you all Stott Pilates Placements, such as: Breathing, Pelvic Placement, Rib cage Placement, Scapular and Shoulder Placement and Cervical Placement. You will learn Stott Pilates fundamental exercises covering exercises such as the Hundred, Rolling like a ball, Seal and Single leg stretch… During this class we will use soft balls, Pilates fitness circles, resistance bands and weighted balls to enhance, modify or progress the exercises. 

​​This class is perfect for complete beginners to Yoga or for experienced customers wishing to perfect their Yoga skills. The class will be taught at a controlled pace with a variety of progressions and modifications to suit individual needs. 

You do not need to be flexibile to start Yoga... Yoga will help improve your flexibility as well as your core strength, movement control and body awareness. 



Conditioning and Pilates Fusion

Beginner Pilates & Back Care
Level 1
This class will be delivered at a pace suitable for anyone who is suffering from an on going back problem or joint related issue. We will chose exercises from the Pilates repertoire that will help promote range of movement, flexibility and appropriate strength to help relieve and prevent further deterioration.We have two instructors within this class to help ensure saftey and technique.

For serious injuries or conditions a doctor's note must be provided before the start of the class.

 Conditioning and Pilates fusion is an excellent class to build strength and endurance , burn calories and have fun working to music. Using a mixture of equipment such as weights, core balls, bands, fitness circles and kettlebells, we plan to target every muscle within one hour.  
We still use a mix of Stott Pilates exercises ,so a minimum of 8 weeks Stott Pilates experience is essential for your saftey

Old-School Fitness Classes
From February 2020 we are planning to bring back monthly Old-school fitness classes. These classes will change on a monthly basis to keep variety and excitment in exercising. We are kicking off on February 4th with Box Aerobics followed by Old School Step Aerobics in March.
Only 8 places available in these classes so first come first served. 
All abilities welcome in these classes. 
During this class we will be progressing all Pilates exercises from fundamentals up to intermediate and beyond for Advanced Clients. The pace of these classes will be taught more quickly with the help of some excellent equipment, varying from Pilates soft balls, fitness circles, wobble boards, Pilates foam rollers and small weights.
You must have at least 12 weeks experience within a Stott Pilates class before enrolling into an Intermediate Class.
