There are many amazing training providers for Pilates across the world, but for us, at the Pilates Rehab Studio, we truly believe that the Stott Pilates method is exceptional. 
      Stott Pilates was developed by Moira Merrithew and her husband back in 1988 in Toronto, Canada. Moira suffered from a serious injury and used Joseph Pilates methods to rehabilite herself back to perfect health. Moira studied Pilates  in New York City under Romana Kryanowska, a disciple of Joseph Pilates. She later went on to study with physical therapists and sports medicine experts to enhance her knowledge. 
     The Stott Pilates method takes all of the traditional methods designed by Joseph Pilates, but modifies them to suit the everyday client who has their own individual needs. Moira understood that the world we live in today has seriously affected our posture and movement ability, and asking the modern day client to perform an exercise such as the open leg rocker will require alot of modifications and teaching skills to ensure the exercise is performed safely and effectively,

At the Pilates Rehab Studio we aim to deliver all our classes to the highest standard and professionalism. We are committed to helping you achieve the best from your body regardless of age, gender, ability or restrictions through injury. 
     Through Stott Pilates methods we will help you improve your posture, joint mobility, core strength and stability and movement control. We will teach you all the Stott Pilates placements, followed by all the fundamental Pilates repertoire.
        The Pilates Rehab Studio has designed a ladder of progression for our classes, working from level 1 - level 3. Our aim is to help you personally progress from a level 1 class up to a level 3, if you desire.
